About the MOT |

| The first test is required once a vehicle is three years old. There are different rules if you use it as a taxi. When your vehicle is tested, the MOT looks at some important items to see if it meets the legal requirements. You should be aware that the MOT certificate is not a guarantee of the general mechanical condition of a vehicle. | ||
| Hawkinge Vehicle Services are approved and inspected by VOSA for undertaking MOT inspections and work. You can check the validity of your MOT Certificate on the VOSA website. We are also in the top 25% of MOT testing stations within the country. | ||
| • | You may submit your vehicle up to one calendar month before the test is due (make sure you provide any current certificate otherwise the new one will only be valid from the date of the new test). | |

• | If your vehicle fails you will be notified of all the necessary repairs and the cost to correct them. |
| • | Our experienced testers have a sound engineering background, so there's no unjust testing. If your vehicle should fail they will be happy to explain why and actually show you the problem areas. | |
| • | Our team is able to repair your vehicle back to MOT standard, without your car leaving the premises. | |
| • | To assist returning customers, we will send a reminder near the due date of your next MOT test. |
